Would-be robbers thwarted

- JARRARD POTTER

TOOWOOMBA police are on the hunt for three people after an alleged attempted armed robbery in Glenvale was foiled by staff working the nightshift.

Toowoomba Detective Acting-Senior Sergeant John Cunningham said police were searching for two males and a female who allegedly produced a firearm during the incident, which took place about 10.20pm on October 19.

“During the altercation noone was hurt, and at this point we don’t believe any property was stolen from the location because the alleged offenders were confronted by workers doing the nightfill at the business,” he said.

“We are conducting inquiries in regard to identifying and locating these individuals.”

Police are also investigating whether a stolen car was used in the attempted robbery.
