Millman in quarters
AUSTRALIAN John Millman has progressed to his fifth ATP Tour quarter-final of the season after winning his way through to the final eight at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow
The 32-year-old took more than two hours to secure a hard-fought 6-1 5-7 6-4 victory against Ukrainian qualifier Illya Marchenko to keep the Aussie flag flying at the event.
Fellow Australian James Duckworth lost his secondround encounter, with Ajla Tomljanovic also bundled out in three sets in the women’s singles.
Millman, the world No.58, will have to defeat Russian local hope Karen Khachanov to progress.
