Grant helps Cods upgrade grounds

-

THE Condamine Cods Rugby Club is set to receive $47,332 in federal funding to assist in the installation of perimeter fencing and terraced spectator seating.

Federal member for Maranoa, David Littleproud said the government’s investment is delivering better facilities and creating economic opportunities across the electorate.

“This is a proud day for the Cods and the region in our fight to make sure we get our fair share,” Mr Littleproud said.

“The government is backing this project so that the Cods can continue to draw a crowd and enjoy the facilities they need. Home games bring the community together and this is all part of our government’s commitment to secure the future of regional Australia.”

Under Round 5 of the Building Better Regoins Fund, the government has committed almost $300 million to support 295 projects across regional Australia, which will create an estimated 9900 jobs during the project period.

This latest funding round takes the total support through the BBRF to $1.38 billion across nearly 1300 projects.
