• I tend to agree that most independent candidates are onepolicy wonders, and that’s usually the environment. There is more to governing than one idea. They also tend to blame the federal gov for state issues because they don’t know the difference. All budding politicians should be made to complete a TAFE course on the various political levels before being allowed to nominate.

Independents are supposedly not aligned with any party and therefore do not have experience or party policy to be influential or assist them on the issues of responsibility of State and Federal Governments. They need to have a party with policies to become experienced with such protocol.
