PERFECT MOTHER’S DAY AS SUN SHINES

- MORGAN BURLEY

AS MUMS woke up to breakfast in bed, blooming flowers and handmade cards, some took the opportunity to visit locations around Toowoomba to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Rebecca Bridge went to Toowoomba’s Queensland State Rose Garden with her two young sons and red cattle-staffy pup Jacey.

“It was a beautiful Mother’s Day morning,” Ms Bridge said.

“It’s always good to support the people of the Rose Garden, and it’s our local park and where we normally walk Jacey.

“The boys also have these foam gliders they take to the park and they love it.”

Ms Bridge said her sons, Bradley and James spoiled her Sunday morning.

“I got a cup of tea in bed, and they gave me some gifts,” she said.

“I got a Disney 101 Dalmations Oodie, and some new pyjamas.

“Just what I needed.” Ms Bridge said the weather held off and was a perfect morning in the rose gardens, where she also purchased raffle tickets.

However, like so many, she was so close yet so far from a win.

The Chronicle would like to wish our region’s mums a very happy Mother’s Day.
