OLYMPIC BID

-

THE red carpets have been rolled out throughout south east Queensland for visiting IOC delegates.

Toowoomba is proposing to invest in the 2032 Olympics project in the hope of gaining some response with facilities for athletes and the flow on from visitors out of Brisbane.

Did the IOC delegates visit Toowoomba?

But then Toowoomba is located in the south west – and perhaps hard to compete with Sunny Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane when so many projects appear to have been “promised”.

The delegates were close by, just a bus trip away or a limo drive up the mountain.

Maybe we need the Inland Rail to give that final appeal.

But big progress at the mountain bike location in Bridge Street, finally a toilet facility is now under construction.

The environment around the escarpment will be cheering.

Next step, a car park for these enthusiasts, picnic tables and water fountains may soon follow.

This may explain why IOC delegates didn’t come up the hill or did they?
