Missing mum’s child back in Qld

- HAMISH SPENCE

THE daughter of a missing mother in Mexico has safely touched down in Australia and met members of her family for the first time.

Photos were released on Thursday showing Tahnee Shanks’ baby girl Adelynn in Mackay being introduced to her cousins, who she had never seen before.

It comes after the two-year-old was shockingly seen walking barefoot and alone on the street at night after being dumped at a church in Cancun last week.

Her uncle Ben Shanks and grandmother Leanne flew to Mexico to be with her and organise to bring her home.

Adelynn’s mother Tahnee was reported missing last week as the search continues to find her.

The Whitsundays 32-year-old has been living in Mexico for nine years with her partner Jorge Aguirre Estudillo, who is also missing. The family said they are not giving up on finding her after an emotional past nine days.
