THE EVOLUTION OF OUR LOGO

The Indigenous Sport Month logo was inspired by Maureen Hudson Nampijinpa’s original artwork “Travelling Dreaming”. Concentric circles and dotted patterning are strongly recognisable elements of Aboriginal art. Our 2022 logo uses dots from the artist’s original piece to show movement and development that sporting pathways offer for positive change. By using the palette of the Australian eucalypt, and ochre yellow, this concept also links back to the green and gold of Australian sports.
