CLOE WON’T FORGET HOME ON MAJOR TOUR

- CHLOE GRIMSHAW

TOOWOOMBA’S very own Cloe Terare has been busy making waves in the music industry as she prepares for her first headline tour next month.

Winning the Billy Thorpe Scholarship and featuring on Triple J’s Unearthed, Ms Terare’s recent achievements show she hasn’t let the pandemic slow her down.

The milestone tour will be made even more special as it is the first time the artist will perform her own show in her home town.

Ms Terare said the open spaces and community in Toowoomba helped shape her work.

“I think that not being immersed in the music scene in Brisbane has given me the space to do my own thing and not be influenced by what everyone else is doing,” she said.

“I do most of my shows in Sydney and Brisbane so it feels good to do a hometown show.”

Passionate about Toowoomba and other regional areas, Ms Terare said she hoped to see more resources for up-and-coming musicians in the future.

After starting out in the industry as the Covid-19 pandemic hit, finally playing to live audiences is not something Ms Terare is taking for granted.

Ms Terare will perform at The Met in Toowoomba on Saturday, June 4. For tickets, find her on Facebook.
