DAM LEVELS

During the recent rains, the news channels were reporting on the south east Queensland dams.

It was reported that Wivenhoe, Somerset and Heinz dams were all bursting.

Our local reports told us that our three local dams were bursting, this was followed by advice to residents below the dams to be aware.

By all reports all dams are well and good.

They are all overflowing – yes. Bursting- not really.

A slight exaggeration of the actual facts. None of the dams were in any danger of bursting literally.
