FACETS: AN ART EXHIBITION AT FAIRHOLME

WHEN: This Saturday and Sunday, 10am-2pm

WHERE: Fairholme College, Wirra Wirra Street.

Works by local, regional, and interstate artists offer a variety of subjects and styles from the traditional to the “out there”. A special feature of this year’s exhibition is the Live Portrait Competition. The subject is Toowoomba’s Mayor, Councillor Paul Antonio. Six local artists, Leisl Baker, Allan Bruce, Alice Rigby, Marie Smith, Betty Tan, and Des Verdon, will be vying for the best position to capture the mayor’s likeness. This interesting, possibly nerve-racking, challenge commences at 11am on Saturday.
