SMART WATER METERS

In 2020 Toowoomba Regional Council announced its plan to have smart water meters installed right across the region.

On the council’s website it states that they will start the rollout in 2022 but they neglect to actually put dates on anything.

Now some in council who have in the past criticised say the national NBN rollout.

These same people sit right on top of the smart water meter rollout in the Toowoomba Regional Council area yet they cannot organise the council website to update us on a monthly basis as to how many smart meters were installed since the start of 2022 and what is the target for each month.

Similarly we are told of the grandiose plan for a fast rail connection from Brisbane and Toowoomba yet we are not told what do out of town passengers do for transport when they arrive here?

Our local State Labor organised public transport system is a disgrace and you cannot even use State Labor Go Cards on the buses.

Again Kerry Shine dodged and weaved when public transport was put to him when Attorney-General now we see the same ducking for cover with the smart water meter rollout.
