$1m win on a scratchie

LUCK was on the side of one Maranoa man after he purchased a winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The man who said he bought the golden ticket on a whim, has claimed the topwinning prize of $1 million.

With no intention to stop working, the prize winner said the money would assist with the renovation of his recently purchased home and a holiday.

The winning ticket was purchased from the Roma Newsagency on McDowall St.

Manager Vicki Hasted said it was an exciting time for the store as it was their first million dollar prize.
