Shane van Gisbergen is taking control of the V8 Supercars. The defending champ is now 164 points clear of Anton De Pasquale, following another dominant weekend in Perth. The Red Bull Ampol driver won two of the three races to extend his lead at the top before this weekend’s round in Winton. That lead could be important because he hasn’t won at the regional venue since 2017. Shell Mustangs have won three races there in a row in a good sign for De Pasquale, who is still searching for his first win.
