AUSTRALIA’S BEST BEEF STILL FROM DOWNS

THE Darling Downs’ own Stockyard Beef is celebratin­g a sixth consecutiv­e year of being awarded Grand Champion Branded Beef of Show at the Royal Queensland Awards.

Earning the title of Australia’s best steak is not an easy feat, with 42 entries and a panel of 10 expert judges to impress, and Stockyard takes advantage of the exceptiona­l Darling Downs natural environmen­t to raise the tastiest beef.

Stockyard executive director David Clark said the awards acknowledg­ed the work that goes into producing some of the world’s best beef.

“Six in a row shows not only can we produce high quality beef, but we can do it consistent­ly,” Mr Clark said.

“This is recognitio­n of our team’s effort from breeding and background­ing through feedlottin­g and processing.

“Our customers can be safe in the knowledge that we serve some of the finest beef in the world.”

Chief judge Elaine Millar said entires were outstandin­g.
