• Freyling Park. A nice vacant piece of land causing anguish to the council. I love driving by and admiring the space, a rare sight in this once lovely town. Destruction of our natural beauty is now firmly on the agenda.

• Chalmers says inflation going to get higher than expected. Government needs to stop giving billions of dollars to every country who ask for help. No country ever helps Australia with fires and floods. What right do the Taliban who hate us have right to seek our help? They’re the ones who took control of Afghanistan.

• Accountability. All senators whether they belong to the current Govt, the Opposition, the Independents or minor parties should have the same resources as these are the people who make the final decisions for the “good” of our country and democracy. This latest cut by the Albanese Govt against the crossbench senators and not Labor senators is a move to reduce the scrutiny of accountability of Labor’s intentions.

• Well the Blues won game two. Six again. They played really well, six again with quick passing and speed six again and were just better in the second half, six again.

• Queensland Wellcamp accommodation centre: Remember there are still people working there, earning a pay packet to feed their families and pay the rent etc. To all those who comment here so meanly etc, show some respect for those people. Secondly, do some proper educated research before putting forward a new use for it. Remember it does not belong to the Government and ideas like a youth detention (there is no way to keep the inmates in and they would have the buildings burnt to the ground in a month!) A DV place, who wants to have their family stuck all the way out there and in small quarters if they had kids and or pets?

• No wonder inflation and cost of living is becoming so high when a person can charge $300 for less than half an hour’s work removing a small area of mould on a ceiling in an aged pensioner’s house. $600 an hour, disgusting.
