If you’ve tried to track your many app and service subscripti­ons before only to be hit with another subscripti­on fee to do it, this app could provide sweet relief. The paid version of Tilla’s sub-tracking app costs a one-off $3.09 and lets you track as many monthly payments as you want, with a running total of how much you’re spending per month and customised alerts when your next payment is due. Some subs are even preset for you.

The world’s biggest cycling race not only spans a huge distance but takes up a lot of time. Those keen on catching up with the peloton through this month can do so in this free app that tracks the racers over all 21 stages, delivers rider profiles, and expert commentary on the competitio­n. Plus, there is a cycling dictionary to peruse, plenty of video highlights, and a fantasy league.

NOTECIRCLE Free, Apple iOS/Google Android

There are plenty of apps to record your daily tasks but NoteCircle offers one of the best layouts. The app lets you record regular tasks and routines, and provides a weekly view for your to-do list. Though the app is available to Google and Apple devices, Apple users get much greater functional­ity with a $13.49 annual subscripti­on, including the ability to access more than a month at a time, syncing with cloud calendars, and a personal checklist.

If you’re considerin­g hitting the skies for your next holiday, this app is worth hitting up first. App in the Air is a one-stop repository for your flight details, hotel and car hire bookings, and details of your tours. Those who subscribe for a yearly fee of $49 can receive timely alerts if their flight is delayed, cancelled or moved unexpected­ly, get updates by SMS, and have the app send family members flight changes automatica­lly.

BOWLING 3D $8/m, Apple Arcade

My Bowling 3D+ could give you new ideas for your next visit to your local alley. The surprising­ly realistic game features all the textures and physics of a typical bowling alley (though none of the rented shoes) and serious players can tweak their shots to try different ball positions and deliveries. There are also more than 20 bowling balls from which to choose and four player profiles to save.
