The FQPL 3 Darling Downs Men’s competition is set for a thrilling top-four clash this weekend when third-placed Rockville Rovers welcomes fourth-placed West Wanderers to Captain Cook Park on Saturday night.

In their two previous encounters this season, Rockville claimed a 2-1 win in the first clash with the second match ending in a 3-3 draw.

The top-ranked women’s side in the Darling Downs region, SWQ Thunder, faces one of its toughest challenges of the season when it hosts Gold Coast side Broadbeach United at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

Second on the ladder in the FQPL 2 Women, Thunder will have to be at its best if it is to maintain a top-two promotion spot but will be up against a fired-up Broadbeach team, which is fourth and also vying for that elusive promotion place.
