Covid vaccine zealots, it’s time for you to apologise

- Rita Panahi

Along list of politicians and bureaucrats, including former premier Dan Andrews and former PM Scott Morrison, need to start apologising for how wrong they were about the safety and effectiveness of Covid jabs after AstraZeneca withdrew its vaccine globally, admitting it could cause dangerous side effects including, in rare cases, fatal blood clots.

Not long ago if you said anything about Covid vaccine injuries or questioned the efficacy of the jabs, you’d be called a conspiracy theorist, falsely labelled an anti-vaxxer and likely banned from social media.

If you opposed coronavirus mandates or questioned the wisdom of coercing young, healthy people to get a Covid “vaccine” – that is in many critical ways different to a traditional vaccine – they didn’t need, then you were attacked as a dangerous spreader of disinformation even if you were a leading expert in the field such as Stanford University Professor of Medicine Jay Bhattacharya.

Among those who were cancelled by social media and defamed by the mainstream media was former NY Times reporter Alex Berenson. His big crime was saying Covid jabs wouldn’t, as promised, stop infection.

This tweet, which saw him permanently banned from Twitter (now X) for violations of “Covid-19 misinformation rules”, was posted in August 2021: “It doesn’t stop infection. Or transmission. Don’t think of it as a vaccine. Think of it – at best – as a therapeutic with a limited window of efficiency and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS. And we want to mandate it? Insanity.”

He was 100 per cent right. In Victoria we enforced policies that coerced healthy kids as young as 13, who had no reason to fear a Covid infection, to be double-jabbed or banned from shops, sports and almost every facet of life other than school.

The few of us who objected to this insane overreach in 2021 were maligned as reckless, dangerous and worse. To ensure bureaucrats and politicians don’t repeat the mistakes of the Covid era we need a Royal Commission into the country’s Covid response.

JEWS FRIENDLESS IN THE LEFT

The Jewish community must know one thing by now – the modern Left are not their friends.

Many within the Jewish community have been enthusiastic allies of “progressive” activists but that support is not reciprocated, and it was never going to be, certainly not among anti-West advocates who see every issue through the oppressor/ oppressed lens.

The Greens in particular have shown an appetite for rabid antiZionism that is ugly, intolerant and entirely in keeping with the neoMarxist worldview of the Left.

On Thursday another Greens MP disgraced themselves with a mixture of ignorance and malice that could only come from a party full of socialists and simpletons.

Speaking on Sky News, Greens senator and resources spokeswoman Dorinda Cox defended the use of the anti-Semitic chant “from the river to the sea” and vowed to continue using it at pro-Palestinian rallies.

“We will continue to chant from the river to the sea,” she said of the slogan adopted by terror groups including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. It’s an antiIsraeli slogan that calls for the eradication of the only Jewish state and has been declared by the US House of Representatives as “outrightly anti-Semitic”.

It speaks volumes about the warped moral compass of the Greens that Senator Cox would defend the use of this contemptible chant even after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned it this week as extremely violent.

Former treasurer Josh Frydenberg who is presenting a documentary on Sky News – called Never Again: The Fight Against anti-Semitism – revealed that Mr Albanese agreed the statement promoted violence.

“When I put to the Prime Minister directly on the documentary that the river to the sea slogan was ‘an extremely violent statement’ he immediately agreed saying ‘it is’,” Mr Frydenberg said.

But on Thursday Senator Cox kept supporting the chant even as she was informed of its history and use by the sadistic terrorists of Hamas. “I’m not an expert on Middle Eastern history,” she said followed by nonsense accusing Israel of “genocide”.

Too many within Labor, and the vast majority of their coalition partners the Greens, have shown themselves to be indifferent or openly hostile to the plight of the Jewish community both here and in Israel.
