Ball’s big anniversary
MILLMERRAN: The Millmerran Debutante Ball committee is preparing for another exciting event.
This year the ball will be held on Saturday, April 28 celebrating 80 years of the successful event.
This year past debutantes are invited to come join in the celebrations to welcome this year’s debutantes Charlotte Kelly, partnered by Scott Grundon, and Georgia Briese, partnered by Bailey Kerr, in the traditional coming out to society celebration.
Toowoomba Mayor Paul Antonio and Father Thomas Areekuzhy, priest of the Millmerran Parish St Francis de Sales, will be in attendance to receive the debutantes.
The night’s entertainment promises to have something for everyone.
Opening the ball and welcoming the debutantes will be “Raise The Barre” Ballerinas Charlotte and Lucy Taylor accompanied by Braxton Jarmey and Harry Farrington in an elegant presentation of classical ballet. Brenda Gillespie will provide Jive and Rock n Roll expertise and Aileen Taylor and her many wonderful helpers will show off their expertise in the ballroom and old-time dancing.
