Council to hold consultations
ST GEORGE: The Balonne Shire Council will consult with the community about the revitalisation of the St George Library.
Council received funding through the State Government’s Maturing Infrastructure Pipeline Program 2 for the project.
Balonne Shire Council mayor Cr Richard Marsh said modern libraries were places that offered more than books.
“These day libraries are turning into the hub of our community by offering high-speed internet, new technology such as 3D printing, educational programs for school-aged children and more,” Cr Marsh said.
There will be two consultation sessions which will take place on Monday, November 19 at the St George Cultural Centre Annexe from 10am to 11.30am and 5.30pm to 7pm.
