Business women celebrate success
WOMEN in Business Awards executive director Karen Phillips was proud of all the women who entered The Downs Women in Business Awards.
Toowoomba Hospital Foundation chief executive officer Alison Kennedy was awarded as this year’s Downs Woman in Business of the Year on Thursday night at Gip’s Restaurant.
Ms Phillips said the judges were impressed by Mrs Kennedy’s sense of understanding the community’s needs through bringing new ideas into the organisation.
“Alison is a passionate advocate for women leading business and community endeavours and epitomises everything the awards program represents,” Ms Phillips said.
