Rangers eager to rule waves at Surfers

-

BASEBALL: Toowoomba Rangers will be eager to “get back on the horse” in their roundsix GBL Division Three clash tomorrow or run the risk of plunging down the premiership ladder.

Rangers are aiming to rejoin the winner’s list on the road tomorrow against Surfers Paradise.

A costly 10-0 loss to Windsor Royals last Sunday leaves Rangers sitting on three wins and two losses from five games and for the first time this season they find themselves outside the competition top four teams.

Coach Darryl Luchterhand said Rangers “needed to be a bit smarter on the field” as they searched for a vital win against Surfers.

“We need to get ourselves back on the horse, otherwise we’ll find ourselves well out of the four,” Luchterhand said.

Surfers is anchored on just one win from its opening four games but Rangers will be aware of its potential to quickly find winning form in a tight 13team competition.
