Old ginger beer factory sells

-

A CIRCA 1911 Queenslander, once the site for the famous Goggs Ginger Beer Factory, sold at auction last Saturday.

Mr Goggins was the second owner of the property and one of his daughters (from a second marriage) attended the auction sale.

The three-week advertising campaign created strong interest from potential buyers resulting in five registered bidders on the auction day including a telephone bidder from South Africa.

The four-bedroom home, which was set on approximately 700sq m sold for $420,000; a price that demonstrated the growing interest in the suburb of North Toowoomba and the continued interest in character homes.

Marketing agent and auctioneer David Snow of Peter Snow & Co said the the owners and buyers were very pleased with the outcome.
