New tree lights up Goondiwindi

GOONDIWINDI: The Goondiwindi Regional Council has installed a new 7m tall Christmas tree.

The tree has been upgraded from the previous year’s model.

Goondiwindi Regional Council Mayor Cr Graeme Scheu said the region shone during this time of the year.

Cr Scheu encouraged residents to take part in the council’s Christmas light competition.

Judging will start on the evening of Friday, December 14.
