QUEENSLAND Ambulance Service officer-in-charge Peter Baron is pleased with the announcement made at the Toowoomba Local Ambulance Committee morning tea at the Burke and Wills Hotel on Wednesday.

Mr Baron said it was announced that the Toowoomba LAC would host the 2019 Queensland LAC conference.

“This will be a fantastic opportunity for our LAC to showcase the Toowoomba station to other committees from around the state,” Mr Baron said.

Also announced at the morning tea was the launch of a new CPR program to be rolled out across the community.

“The Toowoomba LAC purchased new mannequins to help promote the new program and to raise CPR awareness in the region,” Mr Baron said.

“Another great addition the committee provided to the Toowoomba station was a new vehicle to help the station’s staff in non-operational duties.”
