Holiday Care for Pets
If you’re heading off for holidays, it’s important to have your pets cared for and regularly checked to ensure they aren’t suffering, wandering or causing a nuisance while you’re away. Professional care or boarding may be an option to ensure your pets receive regular interaction. For more info on responsible pet ownership, visit www.tr.qld.gov.au/pets

Swimwear for Pools
There’s nothing better than a dip in the pool to cool off on the hot days. A friendly reminder when attending our region’s pools you must wear appropriate swimwear. This includes swimwear made from lycra or nylon such as board shorts, swim shorts, bikinis and full swim suits. If you require further sun protection, swimming rash shirts may also be used. Also don’t forget that you must bring a towel. For more information on our swimwear policy visit www.tr.qld.gov.au/ poolpolicies
Water restriction levels vary depending on where you live. As a region we’re aiming to reduce our water consumption to 200 litres/person/day. Call us or visit www. tr.qld.gov.au/waterrestrictionsbytown for more details.
When Trucks are About, Keep a Look Out
In courts and dead ends, our waste trucks have to turn around and reverse, and the drivers can’t see all around them at the one time. Please be sure to supervise your children, particularly on bin collection days. It’s common for kids to ride bikes, skateboards and play games in the street. Remember that our trucks are big and kids are small, so please keep a safe distance from our vehicles.
