■ In a re­cent news­pa­per ar­ti­cle Toowoomba was rated as be­ing one of the most heat vul­ner­a­ble ar­eas in Qld. One rea­son could be that tree and shrub cover in ur­ban ar­eas has de­clined. Not only in Toowoomba but in many ar­eas of Aus­tralia. EM, Mt Lofty

■ Re letter about face­book. Kev, well done on quit­ting. I per­son­ally could never see the point and have never had a face­book acc. I do see where you are com­ing from, as to many peo­ple rely on it and like your­self get stuck to the phone with it.
