Sportstar Awards off and running and Steffi is first
The Courier has joined forces with the CobramBarooga Golf Club and Barooga Sporties for the Sportstar Awards, which will be held in February.
The first nominee for 2018 is rising golf star Steffi Vogel, who has been blitzing events around Victoria.
Still an amateur, Vogel has collected her home course open this year, along with taking out the prestigious Victorian Big news: Barooga Sporties business manager Tony Tranter (left) and The Courier’s advertising manager Boon Law announce the new awards. Country Championships (see story below).
Some exciting talent has come through the Sportstar Awards, most recently football sensation Esava Ratugolea, who was playing with AFL club Geelong before a bad leg injury earlier this season.
