Cobram Senior Citizens’ Christmas concerts are on Monday and Thursday, December 13, at 1.30 pm at the Senior Citizens hall, Hay Ave, Cobram. Entry is $2 and there will be raffles and door prizes. Inquiries to Bernadette on 5874 3454 or 0422 991 215.
Cobram-Barooga Golf Club is hosting a high tea on Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm. Tickets are $70, with all profits going to Moira FoodShare.
Barooga Community Botanical Gardens volunteers are holding a plant sale on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. Ferns, flowering plants, succulents, and a small variety of trees will be available. All proceeds are used to maintain and improve the gardens.
The Christmas old time dance is on at Yarroweyah memorial hall on Friday, December 14. Doors open at 7.30 pm, with music from 8 pm, all welcome. Please bring a plate for supper. Contact Maureen on 5872 2414.

Farmers’ Christmas lunch
Barooga Lions Club is holding a lunch on Christmas day, December 25, at Yarroweyah Football Club for all local farmers. The day will run from 11 am to 3 pm and will include food, provided by IGA, presents and a visit from Santa himself. RSVP by December 15 to Linda Ryder on 0417 085 234 for catering purposes.
Cobram Community House will host a community lunch on Friday at noon. The Cobram Seniors Citizens’ choir will perform. It will be the final community lunch at CCH for the year. Participation is by gold coin donation. RSVP to 5872 2224 to help with numbers for catering.

Cobram Uniting Church presents The Miracle Christmas of a Wood Carver in the Australian Alps with carolsinging on Friday at 7.30 pm at Irvin Hall, Hay Ave, Cobram. Adults $10, children no charge. Includes supper.
Cobram Lions Club
Club meets second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. Come and meet us at our monthly market at Federation Park, held on the last Saturday of the month, or outside your local hardware stores on the second Saturday of each month. Put on a red hat
Want to be part of the Red Hat Society? The ‘Raving Reds’ group is looking for new members — women aged 50 and over who have a zest for life and wish to take part in a fun-loving friendly group that has no rules and no committees. The only exception is the dress code: a red hat (or something frivolous) worn with a purple outfit. The group meets regularly at various venues. Rhyme and storytime
Rhyme and Storytime is on every Friday at 10.30 am at the Cobram library. Sessions begin with rhymes and songs, followed by stories and then a simple craft. Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, with their carers, are all welcome to join in.
