Plenty of cows in Shepparton this week with majority being lighter weight dairy breeds generating easier trends. Beef cows also made softer trends this week. Prices were a bit softer in Corowa at the sheep and lamb market with heavy lamb prices slipping $20 per head. Mutton also slipped $20 per head across the heavy lines.

Vealers made 544c to 580c/kg Yearling Steers made 500c to 570c/kg Yearling heifers reached 527c/kg

400 – 500kg Steers made 440c to 506c/kg 500 – 600kg Steers reached 450c/kg

Few bullocks presented topped at 455c/kg Under 540kg Friesian Steers made

345c to 401c/kg

Heavier Friesian Steers made 301c to 360c/kg Beef Cows made 350c to 380c/kg

Dairy Cows under 520kgs made

230c to 273c/kg

Heavier Frisian Cows made 255c to 350c/kg

Sheep and Lamb

Medium and heavy weight trade lambs made $187 to $210/head

25 – 26kg lambs made $205 to $224/head 26 – 30kg lambs made $220 to $241/head Lambs over 30kgs made $237 to $268/head Light lambs back to the paddock made $113 to $175/head

Extra heavy crossbred ewes sold from $170/head

Merino ewes reached $190/head
