COBRAM BAROOGA GOLF CLUB

-

Next Wednesday, March 2 the Cobram Barooga Golf Club women’s 2022 season begins.

It will be great to welcome back our CBGC members and to also extend an invitation to all ladies who are interested in getting into golf, socially or joining our Wednesday competition. Our Open on Wednesday will be a fun golf social day, with lunch to follow. There will be a shotgun start at 8am for 8.30am.

We would love to see old and new members alike. Please contact any of the above ladies or the pro shop if you need any further information. We have just finished an amazing week of hosting the TPS Murray River

Webex Players series. This was a fantastic opportunity to watch these PGA players and juniors showcase their skills. Our course is in PGAperfect condition, which is a credit to our hardworking greens team. It has been a great week to get excited with our wonderful game of golf. Although our golfing season commences March 2, lots of golf has been played over the summer. Our ladies summer Pennant team has had great success, ending the season undefeated and on top of the ladder. The Victorian 2P Ambrose Championship was held on the February 5 and 6. Our Maxine Sadler and Rowena Wallace (defending champions) put up a credible fight but were runners-up this year. Young Casey Chandler partnering Sarah King also had a great tournament, coming runners-up in the nett section.

We look forward to a successful season of golf in 2022 and seeing many new faces around our club.
