A tribute to Warnie

The Courier spotted this simple memorial to Shane Warne on a Cobram street this week after the cricketing great tragically died at age 52 on March 4.

He is regarded as one of the greatest bowlers of all time, especially for his right arm leg spin.

The 708 is his record for the most wickets taken by any bowler in Test cricket, which he held until 2007.

A legend on and off the field, the country will surely miss a great sportsman and top bloke.
