Three injured in collision in Muckatah
Three people have been injured after two cars collided on the corner of Chapel and Parnell Rds in Muckatah just after midday on Friday, March 11.
A 28-year-old Barooga woman has been airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries, while her passenger was taken by ambulance to Goulburn Valley Health.
The other driver, a 27-year-old Cobram East Man, was also transported by ambulance to GV Health with significant injuries.
The Barooga woman was travelling south on Chapel Rd in her black Toyota Hilux with her passenger when it collided with a black Nissan Navara driven by the Cobram East man, who was driving east on Parnell Rd, which is a dirt road.
The Navara struck the Hilux on the driver’s side door, which run off the paved road on the southeast side of the intersection, through a paddock fence and into a deep channel drain.
Police said the impact indicated both vehicles were travelling about 100km/h.
Police have urged the public to take care on these roads and drive to the speeds conditions allow.
