The Cobram Courier
Big night for locals
Another season of the Murray Valley Junior Cricket Association has come to an end, with award winners being crowned.
Talent right across the board was acknowledged on the night, with under-16 and under-14 best and fairest, most valuable player, batting average, bowling average and encouragement awards being handed out.
It was a big night for local talent, with Barooga’s Samuel Trembath taking out the under-14s best and fairest award.

batting average in the competition.
Fellow Hawks player, Murphy Stephens, ended the season by taking out the best bowling average award, ending with 10 wickets at 9.60 aggregate.
Five players from the region made their way
into the junior team of the year, with Lenny Power (Cobram), Samuel Trembath (Barooga/ captain), Crue Lucas (Katamatite), Murphy Stephens (Barooga) and Eamon Hyde (Cobram) all in the team.
