Murray Bowls and regional events update:

Murray Playing Area Club Pairs Champions met at Wunghnu on Saturday, March 26, to play off for the Champion of Champions title. The ladies final will be played between Nan Smith/Tracey Miles (Finley) and Glenys McKay/ Elaine Hawkins (Berrigan) while the men’s final will be decided when Bill Dowling/Chris O’Connell (Tocumwal) take on Peter Revell/ John McKenzie (Wunghnu). Some regional finals were decided at Wunghnu on Sunday, March 27. At the time of writing it is only known of one event won by Murray Playing Area — congratulations to Paul Glanvil from Berrigan who won the right to represent our Region at the State Finals in Bendigo. It is reported that he played like the champion he is.

Cobram bowlers will be represented in the regional finals to be played at Numurkah Golf on Sunday, April 3, when Jenny Warfe will partner with Loris Houlihan in the Ladies Pairs in the morning, while in the afternoon Christine Dunne, Carol Mathers, Kerry Baldacchino and Marj McDonald will contest the Ladies Fours.
