Brodie Collins has re-signed as coach of the all-conquering Cats, whose Heathcote District Football League premiership tilt was cut short at 12 wins, 0 losses by COVID-19.
While the majority of the senior squad has joined him in recommitting, defender Tom Holman has returned to Kyabram, while James McPhee has made the move to Rochester.
But LBU will still be the team to beat as it chases its first flag since 2014.
On the courts, Jess Hardess and LBU are looking to turn around a winless 2021 and have been in training since November with that goal in mind.
Shellyn Hobbs, Michelle McIntosh and Gemma McNair have departed the A-grade set-up, but the addition of Chelsea Hicks from Loddon Valley club Calivil, along with Maddie Atherton from
Eaglehawk have offset those losses to some degree. With some new faces and the renewed vigour of a season hopefully untarnished by the pandemic, there’s a bit of a buzz at the Cattery to break the duck.
