AUSTRALIA dominated the 2018 Tag World Cup, winning the lion’s share of finals played in front of a large crowd at C.ex Coffs International Stadium.

The hosts won 17 of the 21 divisions, with the crowning glory coming in the Open Women where Australia won a third straight world title.

The gold medal winning performance served as the perfect send-off for retiring coach Karen Smith.

After more than two decades as coach, Smith’s emotions poured out after Australia’s 7-1 win over China.

“It feels fantastic to win it alongside some of my best mates, it’s hard not to cry talking about it,” Smith said.
