It’s time to start get­ting ready for the big­gest present swap­ping event of the year by em­brac­ing some mak­ing, fix­ing, swap­ping and do­ing with the Give Lightly Eco-friendly Christ­mas pro­gramme! The free line-up of work­shops and events will be de­liv­ered by Coffs Har­bour City Coun­cil’s Sus­tain­able Liv­ing pro­gramme Liv­ing Lightly - at venues across the Coffs Coast. “We’re tap­ping into the joy of giv­ing and gift­ing this year to help the com­mu­nity lighten their load on their hip pock­ets as well as the en­vi­ron­ment,” said Sus­tain­able Liv­ing and Com­mu­nity Pro­grammes Co­or­di­na­tor An­drew Davis. “There are a great range of work­shops where peo­ple can make gifts for friends and loved ones in­clud­ing beau­ti­ful beeswax wraps, can­dles, body scrubs and air fresh­en­ers. “We are also bring­ing back our very pop­u­lar kids toy and cloth­ing swap where you can ex­change pre-loved goods with oth­ers.” Lo­cal artist Tara Ainsworth has also de­signed a spe­cial Christ­mas wreath il­lus­tra­tion that cel­e­brates our unique nat­u­ral en­vi­ron­ment for you to down­load and share.
