FoodCon 2018 a Success

FoodCon 2018 brought to­gether all sec­tors of the agri-food in­dus­try for a fab­u­lous day of in­spi­ra­tional talks, amaz­ing re­gional food, and lots of op­por­tu­nity for busi­nesses to make con­nec­tions. Guest speaker Paul West had ev­ery­one talk­ing about ‘food as the new travel sou­venir’ and chat­ted with grow­ers, stu­dents and chefs, while tast­ing the lo­cal flavours. Food strate­gist Rose Wright used the value chain to cre­ate ideas around col­lab­o­ra­tion; and the au­di­ence learned about on­line plat­forms con­nect­ing farm­ers, the on­line fish auc­tion cre­ated in Coffs Har­bour, and how to em­brace In­sta­gram to tell brand sto­ries. Guest Speaker Paul West check­ing out some fresh Coffs Coast pro­duce with Joshua Cook from the Coffs Har­bour Fish­er­man’s Co-Op.
