A bouquet of flowers for display

The Coffs Coast Advocate - - SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES -

CREATE your own bunch of flowers from a few simple items. You will need: Styrofoam Cup Paint Paintbrush Straw Bead Scissors Craft glue

How to create:

Start by cutting slits from the top of the cup to the base leaving 3cm. The slits should be equal in size.

You can also cut actual flower petal shapes by cutting “triangles” downwards.

Carefully bend each section back to make flower petals.

Paint the flower and allow to dry.

Poke a hole in the centre of the bottom of the cup and stick a straw through it.

Thread a bead on the end of the straw for the centre of the flower. Cut the end of the straw poking through the bead into slits so it looks like the middle of the flower.

Glue the bead to secure.
