DIPLOMA PATHWAY TO SUCCESS
F you don’t meet the entry requirements for university, did you know there are other options that will keep you on track to achieving your study goals? Griffith College offers one-year diploma pathways providing entry to second year of the associated Griffith bachelor degree so you lose no time in graduating.
Current student, Serena Herr is studying a Diploma of Arts and Communication.
“My grades weren’t high enough for direct entry to the Bachelor of Journalism so I needed to find a pathway option,” she said.
“I am glad that I am studying at Griffith College first as I am learning countless skills and there is so much support to help me to develop them further.”
While Serena chose arts and communication, more than 14,000 other students have progressed to Griffith University through a range of other Griffith College pathways including nursing, engineering, design, hotel management, commerce and business, and health sciences.
The most popular programs, Diploma of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Diploma of Social and Psychological Science are now offered on both the Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses allowing more students to access these study areas.
So why are Griffith College students so successful? The diploma pathways are equivalent to university-level study, and are delivered in a supportive and specialised learning environment to better prepare students for success in their bachelor degree. With smaller classes, students receive more oneon-one attention from teaching staff
Comprehensive academic support also includes study skills workshops, peer-assisted learning, and access to one-on-one consultation with teachers and advisors to review class work and prepare assignments.
The college is located on the Griffith University Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses, so students become part of the Griffith community from day one, with access to many facilities and services.
