A mar­ket­ing qual­i­fi­ca­tion can lead to work as a brand man­ager, cam­paign man­ager, con­tent cre­ator, dig­i­tal mar­ket­ing man­ager, mar­ket re­searcher, pub­lic re­la­tions pro­fes­sional, search en­gine op­ti­mi­sa­tion (SEO) spe­cial­ist or so­cial media spe­cial­ist.

QUAL­I­FI­CA­TIONS

There are vo­ca­tional cour­ses, such as a Cer­tifi­cate IV in Mar­ket­ing and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion or Diploma of So­cial Media Mar­ket­ing, as well as undergradu­ate cour­ses, such as a Bach­e­lor of Busi­ness, ma­jor­ing in Mar­ket­ing. Post­grad­u­ate stud­ies are also avail­able.

PER­SONAL TRAITS

A suc­cess­ful mar­ket­ing pro­fes­sional is typ­i­cally cre­ative, or­gan­ised and able to an­a­lyse and in­ter­pret in­for­ma­tion. They have very good com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and are able to work in­de­pen­dently or in a team.
