New mas­ter­planned Ormeau town homes

FIF­TEEN years af­ter their suc­cess­ful 1000-lot mas­ter­planned com­mu­nity, Nor­folk Vil­lage, de­buted in Ormeau, QM Prop­er­ties has launched the fi­nal stage of the de­vel­op­ment.

Abode 152 is a $16 mil­lion town­home de­vel­op­ment and in­cludes 42 two and three­bed­room res­i­dences across a 1.5-hectare site.

QM Prop­er­ties de­vel­op­ment man­ager Glenn Rix said the com­pany had been work­ing in the area since 1994 and was thrilled with the growth and in­fra­struc­ture that en­abled them to cater for the grow­ing de­mand for af­ford­able liv­ing op­tions.

“This is our fi­nal stage of the mas­ter­planned com­mu­nity and com­pletes our orig­i­nal vi­sion – Abode 152 pro­vides an al­ter­na­tive style of liv­ing and is the last new res­i­den­tial project to be con­structed at this time,” Mr Rix said.

Priced from $319,000, each res­i­dence boasts a gourmet kitchen, gen­er­ous liv­ing ar­eas, a ter­race and five dif­fer­ent floor­plans, with a mix of one and two car garages, of­fer­ing buy­ers max­i­mum flex­i­bil­ity.

“De­spite all the doom and gloom sur­round­ing the econ­omy, de­mand for af­ford­able and qual­ity liv­ing has not dropped off – in fact, statis­tics prove it has grown sig­nif­i­cantly in re­cent months, with a spike in first home buy­ers and young fam­i­lies pur­chas­ing in the precinct,” Mr Rix said.

Ac­cord­ing to the Real Es­tate In­sti­tute of Queens­land (REIQ), the me­dian house price in Ormeau has soared by 42 per cent over the past five years.
