QUEST Ser­viced Apart­ments has opened its sec­ond Townsville prop­erty, sig­nalling con­tin­ued con­fi­dence in the north Queens­land re­gion.

The $25 mil­lion Quest Townsville on Eyre is the com­pany’s 14th prop­erty in the state, with an­other three to open in 2015.

Quest chief ex­ec­u­tive Zed Sanjana said he was thrilled with the ex­pan­sion and the new build­ing was a key mile­stone in the growth strat­egy.

“Townsville has a strong and di­verse econ­omy,” he said.

“Key in­dus­tries driv­ing the city’s growth in­clude tourism, de­fence, gov­ern­ment ad­min­is­tra­tion, re­tail, min­ing and re­sources, health, ed­u­ca­tion, man­u­fac­tur­ing and con­struc­tion.

“I am very pleased to open our sec­ond Townsville prop­erty ... sig­nif­i­cantly strength­en­ing our pres­ence in this fan­tas­tic city, while con­tin­u­ing an ex­cit­ing pe­riod of growth for Quest across Queens­land.”

On the cor­ner of Eyre St and Le­ich­hardt St, the prop­erty is just blocks from Townsville’s fa­mous Strand, within walk­ing dis­tance of the CBD, five min­utes drive from Townsville Air­port, and 10 min­utes drive from the Port of Townsville.
