QM Properties has long had faith in the Sunshine Coast market and is now pushing ahead with a new project in the hinterland region of Yandina.

The group has just wrapped up the sale of its last lot in the Forest Pines development in the foothills of Buderim, and will this weekend launch sales of land in the first stage of its Maroochy Rivers project at Yandina. On completion the entire development will have 137 lots of land.

QM Properties sales manager Damien Ross said the company had done a lot of work on the Sunshine Coast in the past. It was finishing off its Doonella Noosa project with about 12 lots left out of 100.

“They are selling very quickly and that is going very well,’’ Mr Ross said.

Prices in the first stage start from $230,000 with lots in the estate from 600sq m to 1078sq m. “We will be selling it from this weekend,’’ Mr Ross said. “We are starting work on the civil construction there in the next couple of weeks, the response has been great (so far) we have got a lot of people waiting for the release.’’

The size of the land and location were the main drawcards for potential buyers.

“Yandina itself is a lovely little town on the Sunshine Coast and is still quite affordable when you compare it to some of the beachside areas.’’

Mr Ross said the Sunshine Coast residential market had traditionally depended on residents upgrading, but more infrastructure and employment had driven population growth in the region now.

The Maroochy Rivers development was a 15 minute drive from the airport. It is on the north arm of the Maroochy River and will include parks, landscaping, cycle tracks and walkways to the river or town.

RIVER OF DREAMS: QM Properties will launch sales of land in the first stage of its Maroochy Rivers project at Yandina this weekend.
