Eight of 23 apartments from within Carbone Developments’ six-star energy rated Sunderland Apartments in Redland Bay have already been sold off the plan.

Carbone Developments started construction on the four-storey building earlier this month, and it is due for completion in June 2019. Co-owner Tony Carbone said excavation on the basement had just started.

“The piering of the building foundations has just been completed and we are currently excavating our basement,” Mr Carbone said.

He said the development would incorporate bulk electricity, timber flooring and ducted airconditioning under a sustainable design model.

“It will be a six-star energy rated building, which will be appealing to anyone in the market, especially downsizers,” he said.

Place Projects director Bruce Goddard, who is responsible for the apartments’ sales, said the complex will offer serene apartment living at its tranquil location.

“This development is a great opportunity for downsizers to live close to the bay, in a high quality, new development at reasonable cost,” Mr Goddard said.

Sunderland Apartments on the Esplanade at Redland Bay is now under construction.
