RETIRE TO A WINNING LIFESTYLE

Retirement developer Living Gems has won awards for its communities on the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture and Toowoomba at the Master Builders Association of Queensland Housing and Construction Awards.

Living Gems managing director Vlad Pullich said the awards demonstrated that in the competitive market of retirement living, developers needed to find a point of difference. He said Living Gems stood out in two key areas: price and community.

“We do the entire site acquisition, development, construction and build out the entire facilities and homes within the same business,” he said.

“We have the scale to deliver a costeffective product.”

Living Gems operates eight retirement communities across southeast Queensland.

Mr Pullich said the standout aspect of the developments was their clubhouses.

“We’re pushing the envelope,” he said. “We have a bowling alley in the Caboolture clubhouse and commercial kitchens which would rival any five-star kitchen in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

“We want to bring as many people in as possible with the clubhouses.”

“They are affordable homes and very luxurious clubhouses.”

Mr Pullich said catering to active living was now a must-have in any retirement community. “It’s all about lifestyle,” he said.

“All of our residents are active and aren’t interested in retirement homes.”

Mr Pullich said that Living Gems empowered its residents by frequently meeting with each community’s homeowners committee.

Facilities can include an indoor heated pool, spa, sauna, ten pin bowling alley, barbecue pavilion, gym, bowling green, tennis court, virtual golf, games room, hair salon, library, music room, workshop plus an art and craft studio.

Living Gems’ retirement living communities are leading the way with their facilities for active living.
