KNOW WHAT TO ASK WHEN BUILDING
Don’t get left without lights, lawn or a driveway – here are the important questions you should be asking when looking to build a new home, according to Callaway Homes sales manager Peter Zamojski.
A trusted builder in Master Builders’ Springfield Rise display village, Mr Zamojski said knowing exactly what turnkey looked like for your build was imperative.
“It’s a maze, there’s just so much involved in building a new home – it’s important to choose a builder you can trust,” Mr Zamojski said.
“For example, we supply a certain number of internal and external lights in our homes.
“Other builders may have a $3000 lighting allowance, meaning the price you’ve been given includes only light points and each individual light is extra.” Mr Zamojski said you should walk through the display home with the consultant and ensure everything you’d expect to be in your complete build was included in the price.
“You want to determine exactly what the turnkey price is, does it include an allowance for tiles or is each item a fixed price inclusion right down to the driveway, the fencing and the landscaping,” he said.
Master Builders display village manager Greg Byrne said choosing to build with a trusted, licensed Master Builder was great for peace of mind.
“Our display village builders take great pride in their quality of craftsmanship and their consultants really do nurture you through your entire build process,” he said.
“They’re always there to answer your every question and ensure your build is the dream you’d imagined it to be.
“If you are looking to build your first home or upgrade to something more luxurious, I’d urge you to check out this incredible village.”
