Home grows with family
The design team at Burbank Homes has developed a new concept so buyers can grow with their home over time.
Burbank Group managing director Jarrod Sanfilippo said the EVO design was a lowset family home with a floorplan that could be easily extended, making it the ideal choice for homebuyers looking to purchase a modern family home with room to grow.
“EVO homes can be modified over time to include an additional carport space, extra bedrooms and ensuites, as well as an alfresco area,” Mr Sanfilippo said.
“Built-in plumbing connections help reduce potential additional costs and challenges often encountered with re-routing pipes when extending a home.”
He said the “innovative” design was created specifically for Lendlease’s Yarrabilba display village in Logan in early 2015.
“The design followed an increased demand from homebuyers to cater to changing lifestyles and growing families without necessarily needing to move home,” he said.
“Due to the flexible floorplan, the design of the home has really stood the test of time.
“Each home evolves individually as the homeowner’s lifestyle requirements change and additions are made accordingly.”
Outside the floorplan flexibility, Mr Sanfilippo said, the EVO home featured a generously-sized open-plan living space that seamlessly connected the kitchen, dining and living areas.
“Bonus big ticket items (are) included in the base price to make the process even easier, such as the driveway, fencing and flooring,” he said.
“Then when it comes time to select the finishes for the home, buyers will have access to interior style experts from Burbank’s Edge Selection Studio who can assist with everything from choosing colours and finishes to flooring and cabinets, lighting plans and tapware.
“As this home is designed with the flexibility of future modifications in mind, it is set on wider block which allows for a more generous backyard for owners to enjoy.“
